We’re excited to share that Eric Milliken, founder of Sutter Law, has been invited to speak at the Diablo Valley Tech Initiative’s monthly meeting this September.
If you’ve spent any time around Eric, you know this is right in his wheelhouse. He’s worked with a lot of tech startups across the Diablo region, and one thing keeps coming up: founders who are ready to raise money but haven’t quite gotten their business set up in a way that investors expect to see. Eric will be talking through what that actually looks like in practice — the entity structures, the agreements, the stuff that sounds boring until it’s the reason a term sheet stalls out.
It’s a good session for anyone thinking about a raise in the next year or so, even if it feels early. Honestly, that’s kind of the point — the founders who get this right are usually the ones who started thinking about it before they had to.
